Reference: SW004701-ML2-1An established small residential community village in Gordon’s Bay has a vacancy for a handyman to work on a 1/2 day basis. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of their common grounds and facilities. Responsibilities: Supervision of Employees: Direct, assist and supervise activities of the gardening, cleaning, and maintenance team Maintain attendance and leave records, reporting to the chairperson (directly) and board of trustees via the managing agent Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of common grounds and buildings, identifying maintenance requirements and safety risks Perform minor repairs (maintenance) to non-critical systems Monitor grounds' condition and cleanliness, promptly attending to concerns Manage preventative maintenance activities, such as drain cleaning and weed control Supervise and monitor the performance of service providers and contractors on common property. Manage discretionary expenses within limits set by the managing agent or board of trustees. Requirements: Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English is essential Be available for emergencies Experience with Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry (will be an advantage) Own vehicle ESSENTIAL CURRENTLY residing in the Helderberg area. This position would suit a semi retired person who is still fit and healthy and with general handyman skills.Working Hours – Monday – Friday: 08h00 – 13h00pm R 6000.00 - R 6000 Apply Now
