3D Design Draughtsman (CH996) (Fully Remote) - Stellenbosch
Our client, a rapidly expanding Belgian company specialising in bespoke construction, is looking for a talented 3D Design Draughtsman to join their new team. seeks a This role will be located in Stellenbosch, South Africa, and will operate entirely on a remote working basis.
We are looking for an experienced Draughtsman (CAD Designer) proficient in using 3D drafting packages such as TopSolid, Solidworks, etc.
Your primary responsibility will be to create production files for custom projects, starting from 3D models. This includes generating part drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). In a later phase, you will also be involved in creating 3D models based on architectural drawings.
Responsibilities / Tasks:
- Create detailed part drawings and assembly drawings based on 3D models.
- Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) for production processes.
- Work on custom projects for various sectors, focusing on steel structures and sheet metal.
- Ensure accuracy and quality in all production documentation.
- Create parametrized models in the drafting package.
- Create 3D steel structures starting from an architectural drawing/briefing.
Your Profile:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., National Diploma in Engineering or similar)
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with 3D drafting software (Solidworks, TopSolid, Tekla)
- Extensive expertise in creating part drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs
- Experience with steel structures and sheet metal
- Familiarity with AutoCAD is advantageous

General:
- This opportunity is open to profiles in South Africa, with collaboration primarily with the Belgian teams. This includes traveling to Belgium for training and on an ad hoc basis thereafter and participating in weekly team meetings with Belgian colleagues.
- Proficiency in Afrikaans is required.
- A valid passport is required
- Should be able to work from your home office
