An Exporter of high-quality ostrich products is searching for an experienced Abattoir Manager. Ideal for a couple with kids (or without kids) as the position is based on the farm and the wife will be sent for training to become the HACCP Coordinator.
Abattoir Manager
As the Abattoir Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of our operations, ensuring efficient and humane meat processing while maintaining the highest quality, hygiene and safety.

HACCP Coordinator
As the HACCP Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of our Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system to ensure the safety and quality of our meat products
Requirements
- Qualification in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, or a related field ( bonus - training will be given)
- HACCP certificate and relevant training in food safety management systems
- Previous experience in a similar role within the meat processing or food manufacturing industry, with knowledge of abattoir operations, preferred
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles, food safety regulations and industry standards
- Excellent analytical, problem - solving and organisational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organisation.
