A leading solutions provider and distribution partner to the residential and corporate security market seeks the services of an Accountant to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following but not limited to: Duties: Managing the General Ledger and Accounts Payable departments. Responsible for all General Ledger Journal entries. Prepare month end Trial Balance, compile any month end adjustments and generate Income Statements and Balance Sheet for all branches, Head Office and Group Accounts. Preparing monthly financial reports for senior management and report on it. Reconcile balance sheet accounts. Handle annual audit (internal & external), including the preparation of all schedules & reconciliations and communication with auditors. Preparation of year end and monthly financial packs required by holding company. Preparation of Annual Budgets and Annual Insurance Declarations and reporting on it. Closely supervise the Creditors and Cashbook clerks. Check and authorize all Creditors and Cashbook invoices and payments. Preparation for statutory and tax returns including taking responsibility for all queries. Closely supervise the Debtors department and take accountability for debtors’ function. Responsible for insurance claims. Prepare and monitor company cash flows. Responsible for maintaining and reporting of contracts (Equipment and leases). Responsible for maintaining the fixed assets register Minimum requirements: Recognized B.Comm (Accounting) degree/Accounting qualification CFA, ACCA, SAIPA, etc. 3-5 years Solid grasp of accounting and tax knowledge. Strong people management skills Experienced in computerized Accounting Packages - SYSPRO
