Accountant - South Africa
A large and established Manufacturing entity within the manufacturing and services industry is looking for an eager Accountant to join its dynamic financial team. Cost Accounting: Analyze and track production costs. Calculate and update COGM and COGS. Conduct variance analysis. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements. Generate reports on key financial metrics. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget performance and explain variances. Inventory Management: Monitor and reconcile inventory levels. Implement and maintain inventory valuation methods. Conduct periodic physical inventory counts. Fixed Asset Management: Record and track fixed assets. Ensure compliance with accounting standards. Compliance and Auditing: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards. Assist with internal and external audits. Tax Compliance: Manage tax-related activities. Stay informed about tax laws affecting manufacturing. Cost Analysis and Profitability: Conduct cost-benefit analysis for manufacturing processes. Analyze profitability by product lines or customer segments. Financial Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls. Identify and address weaknesses in financial processes. ERP System Utilization: Use ERP systems for recording and analyzing financial transactions. Collaborate with other departments for accurate data entry. Qualifications & Experience: - Completed Matric - Completed financial diploma or degree - Qualified SAIPA/ CIMA
