Accountant - Pretoria

Are you an an Accountant who not only possesses knowledge of and experience in Finance and Accounting principles, but can demonstrate the ability to drive results, solve complex problems, and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment?

You will be responsible for Recording and maintaining the company's financial transactions up to Balance Sheet Level and Draft Annual Financial Statements, while also ensuring alignment with financial objectives and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and Approve Invoices & Credit Notes (Debtors & Creditors)
  • Review Reconciled Customer & Supplier accounts
  • Liaise with Customers and Service providers
  • Authorisation of all payments and beneficiaries
  • Review reconciliations of bank accounts
  • Performing ad-hoc financial administration tasks as required
  • Monthly financial processing up to and including Balance Sheet Level
  • Review and Approve Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Responsible for the Reviewing, Finalizing and Reporting of Monthly Management Accounts & Year End Processing
  • Responsible for Drafting of Annual Financial Statements on Draftworx
  • Prepare, submit and finalize Annual Budgets
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly Cashflows
  • Responsible for Monthly Reporting on Budget Variances
  • Responsible for SARS Returns (including EMP201, EMP501, VAT, Income Tax)
  • Responsible for SARS Queries and communication
  • Responsible for Annual Reconciliations, submission and payment of Workmans Compensation
  • Responsible for Annual CIPC returns and updates

Qualifications:
  • A National Diploma / Degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Proven experience (+ 3 x years) in Accounts Payable & Receivable / Cashbook / Relevant Accountant experience.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and financial applications (e.g. Advanced Excel, Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Completed Articles is a MUST.
  • Work Experience with XERO will be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional areas and levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results, solve complex problems, and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Own reliable transport.
  • Fluency in both English and Afrikaans
