Accountant in Practice - Western Cape SPECIFICATION We have an accountant position available at our Accounting Firm, Accountuit Cape Town (Pty) Ltd. We are looking forward to your application DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO: Performing customer accounts on Xero Preparation of monthly management accounts Preparation of annual financial statements Preparation of month-end and year-end reconciliations Liaising with customers re their business and assist them in making financial decisions Management of annual audits (where applicable) Payroll processing Bi-annual employer reconciliations Workmans compensations and RMA submissions Calculations of provisional tax and income tax (companies and individuals) Submissions of VAT201, EMP201, ITR14, ITR12, IRP6 Other administrative tasks REQUIREMENTS: Completed SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA articles. Good understanding of financial accounting and taxation with practical experience with: SARS systems and processes EMP501 reconciliations Provisional tax calculations Drafting of AFS and Year-end processes, working papers and journals. Advanced knowledge of excel and accounting software, Xero and Market Place. Experience in managing a team of 1 – 2 team members / clerks. Experience in reviewing management accounts, financial statements and financial/SARS letters. Experience ito client communication; interfacing; and meetings. Should have excellent written and spoken skills. Not hesitant to give advice and trust own judgement. Excellent planning and organising skills. Responsible and deadline driven. Time management abilities. Problem solver. Afrikaans and English proficient.
