My client is seeking a dynamic individual to fill their Accounts Receivable - Debtors Manager position. Here's your chance to lead a talented team and drive impactful debt collection strategies in their esteemed Group Shared Services department.
Duties:- Debtors Management:
- Craft tailored debt collection strategies for each education brand within our group.
- Obtain approval and execute strategies in collaboration with brand finance managers.
- Ensure adherence to internal and external policies and regulations related to accounts receivable.
- Supervise processing of bad debt journals, refunds, and account statuses with credit controllers.
- Cultivate key customer relationships and serve as a liaison between stakeholders.
- Provide comprehensive reports and resolutions on debtor management issues.
- Monitor debtor book aging and assess collectability accurately.
- Lead business process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
- Systems Development and Administration:
- Develop, implement, and maintain systems and policies for efficient debt collection.
- Manage status changes in debt collection software and support system implementations.
- Financial Management:
- Prepare and recommend budgets, monitoring spending and recommending variances.
- Ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- People Management:
- Define team deliverables and key performance indicators.
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and development within the team.
- Oversee recruitment, talent management, and performance evaluations.
- Address performance issues and provide remedial actions.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Proactively manage feedback and issue resolution with brand financial managers.
- Provide regular debtors collection reports and communicate process enhancements.
Job Experience and Skills Required:- Matric
- Completed BCom in Accounting or Finance related field
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years experience in a similar position
- Strong people management skills
- Experience working in Finance Shared Services will be advantageous
