Our client in the Engineering industry is recruiting for an Administrative / Financial Clerk to join their team in Bloemfontein. Minimum Requirements Matric Tertiary qualification will be beneficial Must be bilingual in Afrikaans and English Must be proficient in MS Office and Pastel Skills Good organisation skills Good team player Good communication skills Be able to work under pressure Goal orientated Proactive thinker Duties and responsibilities Purchases of material / products needed for production Obtain quotes from suppliers Bargain for good material and affordable prices Placing orders Glass / Aluminum / other (ironware) Daily follow-up of orders Processing of supplier invoices Creditors on Pastel a. To do the accounting, and b. Inventory purchased to be recorded in books Check-out of material for production, regarding projects involved Stock surveys – Preparation / identifying & correcting discrepancies / managing stock counts Creditors Reconciliations – monthly Credit applications by suppliers Obtaining updated Price Lists Processing papers of Projects – Excel a. To register accepted quotations on system (Claims & List of accepted quotations) General administrative tasks - Reception i. Receive and redirect telephone calls to different departments ii. Receiving visitors / clients / suppliers / public b. Maintain petty cash c. Preparation of certain EFT payments - part of purchases d. Reporting of Petrol purchases and consumption e. Handling IT Problems – report problem to IT person and follow up f. Check on Water & Electricity Bills g. Wage & Salary returns prepared h. Ordering & management of Uniforms – Annually i. Maintaining documents when crossing South African borders, j. Purchase of Stationery and Cleaning agents k. Gain information about Skill development l. Arrange Medical examinations m. Maintenance of Health and Safety file n. Vehicle services order - as needed o. Filing of all documents relevant on the above p. Annual binding of old documentation to archive q.
