Our client, a wine estate, between Somerset West and Stellenbosch, requires a Reservationist for their restaurant. As a Reservationist, you will play a crucial role in setting the stage for exceptional hospitality by managing reservations, assisting guests with inquiries, and ensuring smooth operations in our bustling restaurant. The role is mainly focused on the Restaurant Reservations but the Guest House and Boutique forms part of the scope of work. Restaurant and Admin Processing all mails, screening calls, and answering enquiries/complaints. Responsible for restaurant bookings. Liaise details with relevant employees. Create restaurant function sheets and ensuring that these are properly managed. Update department databases/data capturing. Importing monthly Dineplan clients to the Mailchimp database. Handle routine sales transactions which include operating POS, cash, and card transactions. Weekly cash up summary for restaurant, wine tasting ang boutique. Monthly Supplier consignment reports and submission of monthly invoices to the accounts department. Diary management, including arranging and coordinating meetings for various departments, driver's delivery/collection schedule. Office maintenance, including replenishing consumables and stationery. Assist with hospitality special events as needed. Financial management tasks including banking and handling the petty cash. Update sites such as Dining Out and Eat Out with new menus once released. Boutique Create monthly sales report indicating consignment / purchased stock sold. Monthly supplier consignment reports and submission of monthly invoices to the accounts department. Monthly stock takes for boutique. Ensure stock levels are sufficient by placing orders with suppliers. Guest House Liasing with Events Department and Perfect Hideaways regarding enquiries and confirmed reservations. Ensures that reservations are captured on the relevant calendars. Ordering of guest amenities and other supplies when needed. Preparation of house before arrival and doing checks upon departure of guests. Handling the check in and check out processes. Qualifications: Grade 12 Experience: 3 years' experience in hospitality Preferably working in the restaurant / wine industry Requirements: Excellent leadership and communication skills Excellent customer service Must be flexible and adaptable Good attention to detail Valid Driver's Licence.
