Job Title: Nutrition Food Supply Service Supervisor Job Location: Alexandra, Johannesburg Report to: Social Worker The purpose of the position is to make sure the kitchens function adequately and effectively, and to manage the work of the cleaning staff and this will include instructing and supervising. Responsibilities: Ensure that preparation of food is done in hygienic and safe way and on time Quality food is provided to beneficiaries Consult with supervisory staff to plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special needs Estimate expected food consumption, then requisition or purchase supplies, or procure food from storage Order and take delivery of supplies Submit weekly and monthly reports Supervise all cleaning staff focusing on their performance in terms of standards of cleanliness and their behavior whilst on duty Ensure that a first class cleaning service is delivered to all areas of the building Review work schedule Requirements: Grade 12 – Matric Cooking certificate A minimum of one-year relevant experience in a managerial/supervisory role Health and safety or food hygiene qualifications will be an added advantage Diploma in a catering subject will be an added advantage To apply, submit CV to Ester Thage at estertafrikatikkun.org or alternatively fax application details to 086 668 0542 Application Deadline: 28th September, 2018 Apply Now
