Compulsory Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- SAFEX Exams
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the SAFEX environment for grain trading
- A comprehensive grasp of regulations, exchange protocols, and optimal approaches guiding grain trading.
- A demonstrated expertise in compliance management and risk assessment within the commodity
- trading sector.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and systems for compliance monitoring and reporting.
Role will involve
- Developing and executing robust compliance policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory mandates and industry norms.
- Coordinating with internal stakeholders to refine risk management frameworks and fortify internal checks.
- Stay updated on regulatory shifts, industry patterns, and optimal practices to inform compliance strategies and undertakings.
- Act as a point of contact for regulatory bodies, exchanges, and external auditors as required.
- Overseeing and evaluating conformity with internal protocols, external statutes, and exchange regulations governing grain trade operations.
- Conducting thorough risk evaluations to detect, assess, and mitigate potential risks throughout trading activities.
- Offering expert advice and assistance to trading teams regarding compliance issues, ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
- Administering regulatory reporting responsibilities, including compliance with SAFEX stipulations, ensuring accurate and punctual submission of data.
