Job DescriptionOur client, a specialist Marine Insurance Underwriting Management Company, seeks a Marine Insurance Underwriter with a good technical foundation in marine insurance, astute with good language and interpersonal skills, writing skills, and computer literate, attention to detail. Client interfacing with a professional disposition. Sound track record in the insurance industry.
Semi-Hybrid alternate Fridays work from home.
Duties Include:
Analyse policy and loss data for renewals
Submitting renewal terms and processing policy renewals
Loading, issuing and activating new policies
Endorsements / amendments
Policy administration on Cardinal Insurance Management System
Analyse new business data, risks and profile
New business quotes, negotiation and follow ups within mandate
Weekly reporting to management
Working with brokers and maintaining broker relationships
Procurement of new business
Meets FAIS Fit & Proper requirements. Completed RE5. -
Skills5 plus years experience in marine insurance. Own Reliable Transport. General knowledge: Knowledge on Incoterms Understands the basics of contracts. Good geographical knowledge.
