Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team in the hospitality industry. As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance and repair of our facilities, including the lodge rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and farm gravel road maintenance. In this role, you will oversee a team of maintenance and garden and ensure that all work orders are completed efficiently and on time. You will be responsible for planning and implementing preventive maintenance programs, as well as performing regular inspections to identify potential issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the inventory of maintenance supplies, fuel, and equipment, and ensuring that all repairs and maintenance tasks are carried out in compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as you will be working closely with other departments and external contractors. A solid understanding of building systems and equipment, as well as proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems, is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of lodge rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and farm gravel roads
  • Manage a maintenance and gardening team, assigning work orders and providing guidance and support as needed
  • Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance issues and address them promptly
  • Maintain the inventory of maintenance supplies, fuel, and equipment, ensuring that necessary items are in stock and readily available
  • Coordinate with other departments to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks
  • Ensure that all repairs and maintenance tasks are carried out in compliance with safety regulation
Qualifications

Skills

Requirements: Previous experience in a maintenance management role, preferably within the hospitality industry. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team. Solid understanding of building systems and equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair issues. Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems and other related software. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
