Introduction Our client in the agricultural industry is looking for a Artisan Fitter to join their dynamic team in Coega. Description We are currently seeking a qualified Artisan Fitter to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical maintenance within the production industry, specifically in maintaining production lines. This role will involve working shifts to ensure continuous operation of our facility. Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance tasks on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues with mechanical components, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and gearboxes. Repair or replace faulty parts and components to restore proper functioning of production lines. Collaborate with other maintenance team members to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks efficiently. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment. Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. Communicate effectively with production supervisors and operators to address maintenance issues and minimize disruptions to production schedules. Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and stay updated on industry best practices. Qualifications: Trade qualification as a Fitter or relevant mechanical certification. Proven experience working in mechanical maintenance within the production industry. Familiarity with a variety of mechanical systems and components commonly used in production facilities. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
