Assembler Worker - New Germany
An opportunity has become available in a manufacturing company in new germany The incumbent is responsible for the inspection, assembling and packaging of metal components as per client specification. Key Responsibility Areas Core Functions: · Ensure that the necessary metal units; components and hardware items are available. Notify Supervisor/ Manager immediately of any current or foreseen challenges · Assemble metal components as per drawing requirements · Silk screen printing · Ensure proper storage of paint, thinners and other related items · Safe storage and usage of screens & jigs · Safe and proper storage of product · Protect finished goods by wrapping with bubble wrap; shrink wrap or other suitable protective films · Ensure parts are labelled correctly · Safe packing of parts into cardboard boxes; wooden crates or onto pallets. Ensure parts will not get damaged during transportation · Monitor and assess the quality of painted parts before assembly. Report all issues to Supervisor/ Manger. Note that Gibela & Alstom reserves the right to claim financial losses due to rejects supplied. · Monitor and assess quality of assembled metal units. Report all issues to Supervisor/ Manger · Performs daily clean up and maintenance within area of responsibility · Good housekeeping. Ensure work area is always clean and tidy · Comply with all regulatory safety policies and standards as well as ensure that Protective Gear is worn at all times · Adherence to late coming and Absenteeism policies Non-Core Functions: · Assist in other departments, assist in loading trucks, Assist in part preparation for painting Competencies The incumbent displays the following competencies: · Attention to detail, Responsibility, Self-management, Team player, Judgment and decision making · Mechanical knowledge, Manual Dexterity, Energy, Independent, Time management Skills/Requirements · Ability to understand and translate plans and drawings · Ability to use various hand tools, like drilling machine; angle grinder; rivet gun; nutsert gun, etc… · Must have a fair knowledge of machinery · Metal industry knowledge Education & Qualification · Matric · Engineering studies (advantageous) CVs to be emailed to recruitmentpinionadams.co.za with ASSEMBLER - Gibela as a subject
