Job Posted: 05-Mar-2024 Location: Cape Town Assistant Food & Beverage Manager Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our team. The Assistant F&B Manager will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dining establishments and banquet services, ensuring exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operations Management: Assist in the day-to-day operations of all F&B outlets including restaurants, bars and other facilities. Monitor service standards, quality control, and guest satisfaction to uphold the hotel's reputation for excellence. Coordinate with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery. 2. Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise and mentor F&B staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high levels of professionalism and efficiency. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance staff skills and product knowledge, promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Assist in scheduling and staffing to meet operational requirements while adhering to budgetary constraints. 3. Guest Relations: Interact with guests to ensure their needs and preferences are met, resolving any issues or complaints promptly and effectively. Foster positive relationships with regular patrons and guests, promoting loyalty and repeat business. 4. Financial Management: Assist in budget planning and cost control measures to optimize revenue and minimize expenses. Monitor inventory levels and food/beverage costs, implementing strategies to improve profitability without compromising quality. Generate sales reports, analyze financial data, and identify opportunities for revenue growth. 5. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with local regulations and company policies. Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all F&B areas, taking corrective action as necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in Food & Beverage operations, preferably in a luxury hotel environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve organizational goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach to service delivery. Proven track record in financial management, budgeting, and cost control. Familiarity with F&B software systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
