An opportunity has become available for an Assistant Storeman at the New Germany factory in Kwa-Zulu Natal. Purpose of the position The purpose and goal of this position are to maintain accurate stock levels, issue accurate kits, pack, and store items correctly, and maintain good housekeeping. Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to Pack away all stock received in the designated location. Issue stock to Production Staff on a Stock Transfer Request or Production Order and ensure documents are processed. Cycle count stock daily as per schedule by Senior Storeman / Inventory Manager Always follow the FIFO system. Alerting the Senior Storeman and Inventory Manager of any discrepancies with regard to paperwork and stock. Housekeeping of all stock. Prepare for stock takes & lead grouped Temps in the counting team during stock takes. Sort, organize, and store inventory in the assigned location. Pick & kit all components required for production & supply to external customers. Work as an active team member to achieve team goals. Ensure all stock is stored according to the SAP part no. Always maintain effective stock control. Working Conditions Standard working hours are 7 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday Must adhere to company policies and procedures. Overtime and weekend work may be required during busy periods. Fixed monthly salary (not hourly based). Stores / Production environment Formal Education and Experience Matric or equivalent with 2 or more years' Stores or warehouse experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Basic MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook,) Requirements ? Well organized and focused on service delivery. ? Ability to Multitask and prioritize. ? Strict adherence to operating procedures ? Physically fit and healthy ? Good maths skills. ? Good written and verbal communication skills. Behavioural skills Eager to learn and grow. Good interpersonal skills Methodical approach to all tasks performed. Attention to detail.
