To assist supervise and manage the Logistics/Warehouse teams in performing their duties and efficient management and control of the Receiving function and the Stock management. LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT: Supervise inbound and outbound deliveries and ensure all goods are in order and quality standards Supervise off-loading, record shortages and reject damages Monitor the returns process and inform the relevant people including the Sales staff Count, weigh, measure items in order to verify against invoice orders Ensure goods are stored per set out procedure with efficient space utilization Oversee efficient receipt, storage, including all value adding services Investigate items that are not recorded in the Receipt log- book Ensure efficient receipt of stock with relevant staff and document control; Perform stock counts at given times Supervise, monitor and check all night-shift loading; Prepare log/trip sheets for outbound vehicles during night-shift LEADING/MANAGING EMPLOYEES Supervise employees and implement Disciplinary procedures where applicable Supervise weekly shift allocation QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: Manage and control work-process flow as per the ISO 9001 quality manual Ensure Health and Safety standards as per Legislation and promote safe working conditions Assist to initiate, co-ordinate and enforce operational policies and procedures Work closely with SHEQ OFFICER to raise non-conformances where necessary in accordance with procedures. STOCK CONTROL Prepare and conduct a six-monthly monthly stock- count Ensure stock rotation and movement as per zoning Supervise house keeping CUSTOMER SERVICE Assist with customer/supplier queries and complaints; Supervise and check all customer collections Maintain service delivery and quality. Supervisory Skills/Experience and wealth of knowledge in Steel products/Industry Matric and the Formal qualification/studies will be an advantage Computer literacy (MS OFFICE & SAGE or similar computer package) Drivers' license Ability to manage and deal with conflict in the workplace Good communication skills Ability to lead and motivate a team
