An opportunity has become available for an Associate to join a reputable law firm based in Cape Town. The successful candidate must have exposure to Personal Injury law (PRASA & RAF), General Litigation as well as experience working with municipalities i.e City of Cape Town on Evictions. The candidate must also be able to handle complex contractual disputes and have successfully represented corporate clients and ensure that Dispute resolution between clients/customers and third party is reached Conduct relevant legal research in different areas of law; Draft opinions which include the formulation of views on different areas of law and advise clients accordingly; Draft investigation reports for clients; Draft, review contracts and litigation where necessary; Represent client in Magistrate courts and High Courts, in trials and settlement negotiations; Arrange to consult with witnesses, attend to inspections in loco, trace witnesses, consult with client; Manage the finances of the file, prepare periodic reports to client, prepare reports to the head of our department of every file; LLB Admitted attorney with right of appearance in court 3 to 6 Post Qualification Experience R350 000 - R400 000
