ATNS Recruits Systems Engineer-Engineering Projects x 3 Vacancies - South Africa
ATNS is seeking 3 candidates to assist in the planning, acquisition and implementation of CNS equipment or systems and related projects for the Company. To provide systems engineering and projects management functions to the Technical Services department and the company. Major Activity ?Defining user requirements and undertaking of feasibility studies in liaison with other ATNS departments. ?Compiling of specifications that meet user requirements. ?Managing the acquisition process- this includes the tender and tender evaluation phases. ?Participation in contract negotiations. ?Schedule and co-ordinate the implementation of projects as project manager. ?Ensure projects are executed within approved time scales, budgets and according to specification. ?Report on project status- financial, progress, risks, and resources. ?Solves day to day problems regarding new projects and installations. ?Participate in regional and domestic planning forums and activities with regard to CNS systems. ?Definition of national communication, navigation and surveillance systems architecture and implementation plan. ?Participation in the preparation of capital expenditure plans and business plans ?Provide support to other ATNS departments in solving technical problems experienced on existing systems, both nationally and regionally. Minimum Qualifications ?Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering and eligible for registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa as a Professional Engineer. ?Appropriate qualification in Project Management Minimum Experience Two (2) years minimum experience and knowledge in the following areas: ?Knowledge and working experience in project planning, requirements engineering, acquiring and implementing radio communication systems, data communication systems, voice communication systems, voice and data switching systems, radio navigation systems, primary and secondary surveillance radar sensor, and/or radar and flight data processing and display systems. ?Project, Systems and Contracts Management. ?Knowledge of MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Exchange.
