Job Title: Research Doctor x2 – Tembisa Location : Tembisa, Gauteng, South Africa Reference : Research Doctor/TM Contract Type: Contract 12 Months Salary: Market Related Job Summary: Work Description: The Research Doctor is responsible for accurate, timely, complete, ethical and efficient processing of study volunteers in accordance with the Study Protocol and procedure manual, and Good Clinical Practice. The doctor is also responsible for coordination of specific protocols overall. Technical Work Responsibilities: Liaise with Internal and External Stakeholders Apply relevant clinical knowledge and skills within protocol guidance Apply knowledge and understanding of communicable diseases Research Study-related tasks Attending and conducting training activities Reporting and record keeping Research-related administrative duties Performance management Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree from college or university in Medicine Registered Medical Practitioner with the HPCSA GCP Certification Experience: At least 2 years’ experience as a Medical Doctor mandatory Experience as a research clinician is preferable Requirements: Proficient personal computer skills Proficient in written and spoken English and fluency in Zulu/other local languages SA Citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa Valid Driver’s License Willing to work overtime Meticulous attention to detail and open to quality review of all work done Kindly provide current and relevant references for background checks All appointments are subject to the preferred candidates obtaining the necessary security clearance, reference checking, and competency assessment.
