We are currently seeking a talented Intermediate Automation Tester to join our client's team in Sandton within the manufacturing industry. As an Automation Tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our client's software applications. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and design test cases accordingly. Execute automated test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability. Identify, analyze, and document software defects and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews. Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools. Provide regular status updates on test execution progress and escalate issues as needed. Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) analysts to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases. Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in test automation and incorporate them into our testing practices. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on test automation. Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or similar. Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#. Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. Solid knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
