Job Title: Principal Technical Assistant: Design & Development, Plan & Build and Service Management (3 Positions) Location: Western Cape Job Summary: Key performance areas: Provide technical assistance in coordinating the technical functions and tasks in the material management process (including assets verification, equipment type approval and codification) Assist the master planners with compiling scopes and the programme and equipment allocation Assistant to Service Manager Compliance verification of planning files, invoices and As- Build documentation. Conducts technical site inspections Coordinate material type approval. Requirements: Minimum of Grade 12 Telecommunication technology and planning related short course certificates (advantageous), Three (3) years’ experience in Telecommunication Infrastructure plan and build support function, material forecast and stock level management, Proven ability to work under pressure in a critical technical environment, City of Cape Town or similar local government organisations will be an advantage Valid driver’s licence, Own vehicle advantageous Please apply online at www.capetown.gov.za/careers (external applicants) or via the SAP Portal (internal applicants) unless otherwise stated.
