Banqueting and Events Manager - South Africa

Our client in the Hospitality industry is currently looking for a Banqueting Manager, in Cape Town.

Responsibilities:
Driving delivery of functions and events strategy; generating and concluding profitable sales.
Creating, planning and delivering outstanding events and functions simultaneously across multi-venues.
Managing a team of events practitioners, ensuring they are properly trained and capacitated to deliver on target.
Setting, monitoring and maintaining service delivery and quality standards.
Motivating staff through leadership style and communication to give discretionary effort even under times of extreme pressure.
Engaging service providers and ensuring delivery of agreements.

Requirements:
A relevant Degree or tertiary qualification is advantageous.
2 years of multi-venue management accommodating seated events for +250 and outside events for large capacities.
5 years of managerial experience in a similar role within Hospitality and/or Events Management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Financial acumen.
Must be creative, think out of the box, and innovative.
Able to work extended hours based on business requirements.
