The Bar Waiter/Waitress is responsible for serving beverages in an assigned bar, in full compliance with company sanitation standards, and providing an enjoyable environment for guests. Responsibilities: Provide courteous, quick, and professional service with a smile at all times suggesting and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at various beverage outlets throughout the cruise ship. Take the orders from the guests, relays them to the Bartender and then make sure that the beverages are served in a proper glassware with a proper garnish. Suggest drinks to guests applying up selling and suggestive selling techniques thus increasing beverage products revenue for the company. Comply with Explora Journeys standard procedures relating to cleanliness, set-ups and service standards. Know all beverages, mixed drinks and other bar items specified in the bar list including good understanding of wines. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience as a 'Bar Waiter/Waitress' in an internationally recognised 5 star hotel is essential Food Safety/HACCP certificated Ship experience advantageous Possess a valid passport Fluent in English
