Barbershop Manager | Joburg | Mens
We are currently searching for well-groomed and energetic managers to lead a successful barbershop brand with their stores in Waterfall, Groenkloof and Fourways. The ideal candidate should possess a combination of industry knowledge and technical know-how (barber), business management skills, and a customer-focused mindset to ensure the smooth operation and success of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Staff Management - Oversee barbers and support staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service delivery.
- Customer Service - Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients, addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and handling feedback or complaints professionally.
- Inventory Management - Manage inventory levels of hair care products, tools, and equipment, ensuring adequate supplies are available for daily operations.
- Financial Management - Handle financial aspects such as budgeting, pricing, billing, and cash management, aiming for profitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Quality Control - Maintain high-quality standards for haircuts, shaves, and grooming services, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Marketing and Promotion - Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones, including promotions, events, and social media engagement.
- Compliance and Safety - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and licensing requirements to create a safe and hygienic environment for staff and clients.
- Continuous Improvement - Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and customer preferences, implementing improvements to enhance the overall experience and reputation of the barbershop.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Matric
- 3 to 5 years management experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with staff and interacting with clients
- Excellent organisational abilities to handle scheduling, inventory management and
- Business minded, must be able to complete basic bookkeeping tasks
- Leadership qualities to motivate and supervise barbers and support staff
- Marketing skills to develop strategies for attracting and retaining clients
- Ability to adapt to industry trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives
