Our awesome client is looking for a business intelligence (BI) developer in George, Western Cape.You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the organisation's data infrastructure and analytical solutions.Your primary focus will be on translating business requirements into effective and scalable data models, dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders from various departments to gather requirements, analyse data, and deliver actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field would be beneficialProven experience as a BI Developer or similar role in a technological/insurance industry, including hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL development, and dashboard/report creationStrong proficiency in SQL and data manipulation techniquesExperience with BI and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Flow, or similarStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutionsResponsibilities:Develop and maintain the organisation's data infrastructure, including data warehouses, data marts, and data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and availabilityCollaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand their analytical needs, and translate them into technical specificationsCreate visually appealing and intuitive dashboards, reports, and interactive visualisations using BI tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Flow, or similarPerform data analysis and profiling to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies, and propose appropriate solutionsCollaborate with the IT team to ensure data security, data governance, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA)Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in BI and analytics and propose innovative solutions to enhance the organisation's data capabilitiesPlease note that only candidates with the required experience will be considered and contacted.
