Medical Billing Specialist We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MedeMass and HealthBridge billing systems, with a focus on accurately and efficiently invoicing healthcare services on behalf of doctors and medical practitioners. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of patient invoices, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering positive relationships with healthcare providers. Responsibilities: MedeMass/HealthBridge Billing: Utilize expertise in MedeMass and HealthBridge billing systems to process invoices for medical services rendered by doctors to patients. Ensure accurate coding and documentation of services in accordance with industry standards and compliance regulations. Claims Management: Prepare and submit electronic claims to medical aids through the MedeMass/HealthBridge platforms. Monitor and track claims, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies to facilitate timely reimbursement. Patient Invoicing: Generate and send patient invoices for services not covered by medical aid. Provide clear and concise explanations of charges, payment options, and any relevant information to patients. Reconciliation: Reconcile billing records with medical records to verify the accuracy of billed services. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between billed and provided services. Customer Service: Address patient inquiries and concerns related to billing in a professional and empathetic manner. Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing-related issues and discrepancies. Compliance: Stay informed about changes in healthcare billing regulations and compliance requirements. Ensure adherence to industry standards and legal requirements in all billing processes. Qualifications: Grade 12 Experience: Proven experience as a Billing Specialist in a healthcare setting, with specific expertise in MedeMass and HealthBridge billing systems. Familiarity with medical coding and billing practices. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using MedeMass and HealthBridge billing software. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in billing and documentation. Ability to review and analyze complex medical records. Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and other team members. A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
