Duties:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing BMW vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
Have a strong understanding of automotive diagnostic tools and equipment, such as diagnostic scanners, oscilloscopes and multimeters
Can interpret diagnostic codes and troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
General and Scheduled Service Work:
Perform routine maintenance and scheduled service tasks on BMW vehicles.
Conduct inspections, oil changes, filter replacements, and other standard service procedures.
Diagnosing and Repairing Mechanical/Electronic Faults:
Identify and troubleshoot general mechanical and electronic issues in vehicle systems and components.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint faults accurately.
Accessing and Recording Spare Parts:
Retrieve necessary spare parts for repairs.
Maintain accurate records of parts used during diagnostics and repairs

Requirements: - Previous experience as an automotive technician, specializing in electronic systems and diagnostics, preferably with BMW vehicles.
- Knowledge of BMW specific systems, such as IDrive, xDrive and BMW ConnectedDrive.
- Proficiency in using advanced diagnostic equipment and software
- Certification from BMW or a recognised automotive training program specializing in BMW diagnostics
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications in relevant areas such as Engine, Electrical/Electronic Systems, and Advanced Engine Performance Specialist
- Trade Test Qualification: You must have a trade test qualification as a Motor Mechanic
- A keen eye for detail is essential for accurate diagnostics
- Ability to analyse complex issues and find effective solutions
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, CAN bus communication protocols, and vehicle network architecture
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose complex electronic issues accurately
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other technicians and engineers
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
