The positions is in Johannesburg South Site Supervisor for Boilermaker, Welder, and Fitting Team - As a Site Supervisor for our Boilermaker, Welder, and Fitting Team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all activities related to fabrication, welding, and fitting at various job sites. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards while effectively managing a team of skilled tradespeople. Supervision and Coordination: • Lead and supervise a team of boilermakers, welders, and fitters on-site, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications. • Coordinate daily activities, assign tasks, and provide guidance to team members to optimize productivity and efficiency. • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to communicate progress, resolve issues, and ensure project requirements are met. 2. Safety Compliance: • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all team members. • Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance. • Take immediate corrective action in response to any safety concerns or incidents, including reporting and documentation as required. 3. Quality Assurance: • Ensure that all fabrication, welding, and fitting work meets quality standards and specifications set forth by project plans and engineering drawings. • Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout the fabrication and installation process to identify and address any deficiencies promptly. • Implement corrective measures and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency. 4. Resource Management: • Manage material inventory, equipment, and tools necessary for fabrication, welding, and fitting activities, ensuring availability and proper maintenance. • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources to support project requirements. • Optimize resource utilization and minimize waste to control costs and maximize project profitability. 5. Team Development: • Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills, knowledge, and performance. • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages teamwork, professionalism, and accountability. • Address performance issues proactively and provide constructive feedback to facilitate continuous growth and improvement. Qualifications and Requirements: Proven experience 4 years in a supervisory role within the industrial, fabrication, or related industry, with specific experience in boiler making, welding, and fitting. Trade qualification or certification in boiler making, welding, or fitting is preferred. Thorough understanding of fabrication techniques, welding processes, and fitting procedures, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Market related per hour
