Description Bookkeeper We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join our esteemed client, in the fruit industry, based in Paarl. Key Responsibilities: Record financial transactions accurately and timely using accounting software or manual methods. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment collections, and supplier/vendor relations. Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements regularly to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies. Prepare and issue invoices, statements, and financial reports as required. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including ledgers, journals, and spreadsheets. Assist with payroll processing, including calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions. Monitor and track expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information to auditors. Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy and compliance with regulations. Stay updated on relevant accounting principles, laws, and regulations to ensure compliance. Provide support to management and other stakeholders by answering financial questions and providing insights based on financial data. Software skills required: Xero Payspace Adagin Google Workspace This is an in-office permanent full-time position - Monday to Friday.
