Our company is searching for a bookkeeper to join our team of dedicated professionals. Accurate records are foundational to our business operations, and the ideal candidate will know how to keep records in the best possible order. They will integrate new technologies into their work to reduce errors and improve efficiency, all the while keeping our company's best interests top of mind. The successful candidate will work closely with the Financial manager and will be joining the Head Office team for several stores across Gauteng. Maintain and ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records are maintained for several stores. Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, receipts, and sales. Assist in the preparation of financial statements such as balance sheet and income statements. Assist Financial Manager in the preparation of monthly management accounts and collaborating with independent auditors to compile the annual financial statements. Full Debtors function Full Creditors function – Managing suppliers, issuing of purchase orders, processing of supplier invoices, account reconciliations and filling in, compiling supporting documents and submitting credit applications to suppliers. Capturing invoices and processing payments for suppliers Daily capturing and reconciliation of several bank statements. Overseeing and processing of Daily cash ups for several stores from our Head office. Capturing and processing the daily expenses (cash, credit cards, Mr D, Uber and online) Posting journals. Assist with payroll: weekly checking of timesheets on our automated platforms. Liaise with store managers and submitting reports on time keeping to HR. Performing any other reasonable duty as required by management Grade 12 BCom or equivalent Bookkeeping Qualification 3 – 10 Years of experience in bookkeeping Fluent in English and Afrikaans Great attention to detail and must be able to multitask Working with deadlines and urgency will be required Microsoft Office (Excel skills required) Meticulous attention to detail and record-keeping skills Strong understanding of accounting and financial operations Honesty/Integrity and discretion when working with sensitive information Capacity to quickly perform calculations Dealt with more than one company as we deal with many stores. Ability to multitask essential. Sage / Pastel /Xero experience necessary, preferably Xero. Market Related based on experience Apply Now
