Bookkeeper/Stock Controller - Western Cape

Our client is looking for a dynamic bookkeeper/stock controller to keep track of accounts and stock control to be based in Strand, Western Cape. ABOUT OUR CLIENT Our client is a retail store that specializes in irrigation and other water equipment. JOB SUMMARY The bookkeeper/stock controller will be responsible for managing and controlling daily stock counts and the investigation of stock related queries. The successful candidate will also accurately complete journals and accruals on a timeous basis. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:- Diploma in accounting or the equivalent 3 years of bookkeeping experience Excellent communication and math skills Knowledge of payroll and bookkeeping principles Understand how to balance large bank accounts JOB DESCRIPTION The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:- Manage and control of daily stock counts and investigation of stock related queries Plan, prepare and administer all stock take counts Manage and control all stocktake count Processing of bank account and reconciliation Credit card control and reconciliation Daily cash ups and balancing Accurately complete journals and accruals on a timeous basis General office admin, filing and ad hoc tasks Assist Finance Manager with the annual statutory and BEE audit Please be advised that only shortlisted candidates that have the specific skills and experiences required to fulfill the responsibilities of the role will be contacted for a telephone interview by one of our consultants.
