Our customer is a fast-growing Road Freight Transport Company operating in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. We have a vacancy for a Branch Manager to develop and expand our business in the Johannesburg area-Modderfontein East Rand. We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply that have a proven track record in the industry, a minimum of 5 years' experience and exceptional industry knowledge. Role and Responsibilities: The main purpose of the job is to oversee all Branch Management related tasks and to ensure that sales goals are met and that tasks are performed efficiently at the Branch. Branch Management Oversee day-to-day branch operations, management of staff, team leadership and branch compliance to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of services. Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of logistics professionals. Foster a positive and collaborative work culture, promoting teamwork and accountability. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members. Sales Management Growth and development of client base The individual will be required to source new customers as well as manage the current sales team. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our s Identify opportunities for business expansion and collaborate with the sales team to secure new clients. Address client concerns and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner. Operations Management Oversee day-to-day branch operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of services. Coordinate and optimize the use of resources, including staff, vehicles, and equipment. Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure and accident-free work environment. Maintain high standards and develop internal operations strategies to promote exceptional customer service and delivery and foster a positive environment. Financial Management Develop and manage the branch budget, ensuring financial targets are met. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate billing and invoicing processes. Manage branch financial performance and profitability. HR Management Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high service standards. Conduct regular audits to assess and improve operational efficiency. People Management - training, mentoring, coaching and management of staff.ervices. Grade 12 / Matric Qualification non-negotiable. Diploma / bachelor's degree in a related field is an advantage. Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. MUST have Road Freight Transport experience Strong leadership and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
