Reference: JHB000127-TR-1The Business Analyst will play a key role in understanding stakeholder requirements, analysing data related to pension funds and retirement annuities, and developing data models to support decision-making processes. The environment aims to enhance and optimize the management of pension funds and retirement annuities through improved data analysis, modelling, and strategic insights. Responsibilities Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements related to pension funds and retirement annuities. This includes understanding regulatory requirements, industry standards, and stakeholder objectives. Data Analysis: Conduct a thorough analysis of pension fund and retirement annuity data to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Utilize various data analysis techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. Data Modelling: Develop and maintain data models to represent pension fund and retirement annuity structures, transactions, and relationships. This involves designing logical and physical data models using industry-standard modelling techniques. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize business processes related to pension funds and retirement annuities. Work closely with stakeholders to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance overall operational effectiveness. Reporting and Visualization: Create informative and visually appealing reports and dashboards to communicate key insights and performance metrics related to pension funds and retirement annuities. Utilize data visualization tools to present complex information in a clear and understandable manner. Risk Management: Assess risks associated with pension fund and retirement annuity management, including investment risks, regulatory compliance risks, and operational risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies and monitor risk factors to ensure effective risk management, Qualifications and Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the financial services industry with a focus on pension funds and retirement annuities. Strong proficiency in data analysis, including experience with SQL, Excel, and statistical analysis tools. Demonstrated expertise in data modelling techniques and tools, such as ER modelling, dimensional modelling, and data visualization. Knowledge of pension fund regulations, retirement annuity products, and industry best practices. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with requirements-gathering techniques, such as interviews, workshops, and surveys. Proficiency in business process modelling tools and techniques. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools, such as JIRA or Trello, is a plus.
