Business Development Manager Food Raw Materials - - Johannesburg

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have a tertiary qualification in Food Technology
Minimum 3 years sales experience within the food raw materials industry is essential
Must have technical knowledge of Food Ingredients and the applications thereof
Experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements in the Food Industry will be required
Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel on a national basis

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Cultivating and broadening market segments for food ingredients.
Retaining current client base while sourcing new opportunities.
Conducting comprehensive market analyses encompassing customers, products, competitors, and application markets.
Engaging in price negotiations, crafting and presenting proposals.
Addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
Offering technical guidance to clients regarding formulation development, including sampling.
Collaborating closely with Product Managers to optimize stock management.
Ensuring accurate record-keeping on the CRM system.
Strategising and formulating budgets.
Participating in industry exhibitions and customer seminars, including technical insight days.
