Global leader in the Water Treatment and Chemicals space is looking for a BDM to be based in Johannesburg. You must have sold chemicals or related products into Refineries or high intensive water industries. The role pays up to R1.3 million Fixed CTC Negotiable for the right candidate, We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team and play a key role in expanding our market share in the HPI (Hydrocarbon Processing) or the CPI (Chemical Process) Industries. You must have sold chemicals or related products into Refineries or high intensive water industries. You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and driving revenue growth for our HPI and CPI product lines. This position requires cooperation and planning with business management, commercial, technical, financial & administration, and equipment as well as account managers and service technicians in the field to ensure that the needs of the business and customers are consistently met. The incumbent is expected to use his/her experience and industry knowledge to provide day to day leadership of the people working in Africa on commercial and technical functional areas. One on one inter-relationship and cooperation with all field staff. Minimum monthly reports, weekly telecons (Sales Meetings) as required with business managers Maintaining the highest safety standards to ensure there are no incidents or accidents in the working environment Identify and qualify new business opportunities in the HPI/CPI market, both domestically and internationally. Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry stakeholders. Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends and opportunities specific to HPI and CPI products. Prepare compelling proposals and presentations to showcase our company's HPI and CPI solutions and their value proposition. Negotiate and close contracts with new clients for HPI and CPI products. Manage the sales cycle for HPI and CPI products from lead generation to contract signing. Support the sales team by providing product knowledge and technical expertise related to HPI and CPI. Managing existing accounts as allocated ensuring satisfaction and ongoing profitability by professional and effective account management processes and skills designed to deliver and exceed customer expectations and adding value Managing prospects effectively and making contacts within the allocated targets and markets. Working with support groups to establish, maintain and prioritize an accurate and current prospect list. Providing professional onsite service work to customers including water analysis and testing as required, ensuring water treatment programs are controlled according to design parameters and that performance criteria is strictly monitored and achieved Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field, preferably with a focus on relevant industries served by HPI and CPI products. Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, with a proven track record of success in a B2B environment. Demonstrated understanding of the HPI/CPI industry and its applications. Special consideration will be given to candidates that have sold into refineries, Oil and Gas and high intensive water industries.
