Business Development Manager required in the Financial Sector Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth objectives in alignment with the company's overall goals and targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the banking sector, including but not limited to corporate clients, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking opportunities to upsell additional products and services. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and potential areas for expansion. Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote brand visibility and generate leads. Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, pipeline activity, and market insights to senior management. Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices to ensure adherence to banking standards and guidelines. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. RE 5 qualified Proven track record of success in business development roles within the banking or financial services industry, with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Strong understanding of banking products, services, and market dynamics in South Africa, particularly in Johannesburg. Excellent networking, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and key stakeholders. Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex data, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans to drive business growth. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on exceeding targets and delivering measurable outcomes.
