Our petrochemical client, based in Alrode (Alberton), is seeking a Business Development Manager, to join their team. Mission You are globally in charge of developing new businesses throughout South-Africa to enable the acceleration of Electrical mobility and Sustainable Energy solutions by starting with EV charging infrastructure promotion as well as Solar panels and stationary battery storage sales with the goal to make our client the referent service provider in this fast growing industry of E-Mobility. Together with your internal stakeholders and the Group teams, you will be a key driver of our very ambitious revenue growth in the years to come, leverage the country strong Car manufacturing experience and need of remote electrification through renewable sources. Your activity will be covering the three main following aspects: Market analysis and partnership construction and Team Development Commercial and Business development of new solutions for our client's existing and new cleints Project and technical realization supervision Your ability to build a strong collaboration with both our client's Management team, local Technical and Commercial team and Group Business-line management will be key to lead our client's business transformation by preserving the key factors that made its historical success and notoriety. Reporting directly to our client's Managing Director and functionally to the Director you will be accountable of your activity and P&L of the new E-Mobility and sustainable Energy Solution in South-Africa Market analysis and partnership construction and Team Development Perform market analysis and lobbying to place our client as a referent supplier in the new E-Mobility Lead development and growth of the Electrical and EV charging infrastructure in SA Business development of new businesses and services around Mobility and sustainable Energy Develop the team by forming existing persons, developing the skills among the current members of the organization and when necessary recruiting the right people in particular with electrical skills to complement the team. Develop regular reporting to Local Management and group stakeholders Represent our client in the country and towards key external stakeholders Commercial and Business development Develop and implement the appropriate Commercial Strategy for the new Businesses in accordance with both our client's Managing Director and the Group EV Charge Director. Develop, adapt new on the shelf offer both in EV charging infrastructure (both AC and DC) as well as in Sustainable energy solution (Solar canopies, Battery storage…) Supervise the tenders for key accounts among the strategic growth segment of the sector Develop partnerships with key actors in the E-Mobility world: Utilities, Car OEM, Equipment manufacturer, Fleets Support the recognition of the our client's Brand in the E-Mobility sector Insure definition and implementation of the Digital Marketing strategy and guarantee digital presence of our client locally Support the group in responding to international deal involving South Africa, Insure usage of modern tools to insure commercial efficiency – CRM, Pricers… Project and technical supervision Manage both Projects and Technical activities realisations as the successful results of strategy implementation and commercial development insuring the highest level of standards on the market. Propose and implement the appropriate organisation and its evolution to align customers' promises with skills and resources. Contribute and support the group international projects realization in Spain and Portugal Liaise regularly and collaborate with the Technical group team to share group Knowledge and good practices Master in Engineering - a speciality in Electricity is recommended - an additional complementary degree or experience in Business or commercial development will be a plus 4-8 years working experience Technical curiosity, innovative Business development skills with a good business sense Knowledge in E-mobility or Solar Projects and Electrical Market is essential with a good technical knowledge in the field of electrical installation and engineering Experience in working in an international environment Good communication, leadership, problem solving and analytical skills, capacity to work in matrix organization. Ability to multitask and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
