We are a boutique law firm based in Pretoria, specialising in corporate and commercial law. With a focus on providing exceptional legal services to our clients, we are now seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team as an In-House Business Development Manager/Marketer. Role Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for driving our firm's marketing and business development efforts, with a focus on generating effective leads, organising engaging marketing events and campaigns, and attracting new clients. Our client base primarily consists of businesses and corporate companies, with a particular emphasis on multi-nationals rather than walk-in customers. This is a newly developed role within the firm, offering the opportunity for the right candidate to make a significant impact and shape our marketing strategies. Key Responsibilities Create and finalise engaging social media posts (minimum 3 per week) to increase our online presence and attract potential clients. Plan and execute original marketing events and campaigns to showcase our firm's expertise and attract new business opportunities. Work closely with legal practitioners to gather relevant information and ideas for marketing strategies. Manage communication channels with internal stakeholders, ensuring efficient approval processes for marketing materials. Continuously monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the curve. Advise on suitable and tested marketing strategies to retain existing business clients and attract new business clients. Develop relationship building strategies with key industry role players, chambers of commerce and international forums to attract international clients for cross-border legal work. Demonstrable experience in marketing and business development, ideally within the legal sector or a related professional services environment. Capacity to work autonomously, strategise campaigns, and meet deadlines consistently. Outstanding communication abilities, facilitating effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. Possession of a creative mindset, enabling the development of innovative marketing strategies. Self-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving and target attainment. A qualification in marketing or related disciplines would provide candidates with a competitive advantage. Experience in graphic design would be highly beneficial.
