Business Process Automation Specialist - Port Elizabeth

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The primary purpose of this role is to identify, create, implement, and maintain automated business processes. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Director of IT to understand project requirements – as dictated by business needs – then work towards providing automated solutions to satisfy those needs. New technologies will be vetted through thorough research of the given technology, as well as conceptual implementations and proof of concepts, together with thorough documentation and best practice guidelines. The candidates will be technology focused. The candidate will assist the Business Process Automation team’s efforts in delivering actionable solutions to business problems. They will partner with vendors to scale automation solutions. The outcome of their work will drive operational efficiencies within the organization and in doing so give time back to operations & business stakeholders. To be successful in this role, you should be a technologist at heart, deeply analytical and capable of critical thinking. You should be able to grasp business concepts and be able to translate those to deliverables

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Change management experience
  • Business analyst experience
  • Business process management experience
  • Leading technology teams
  • Software Development / IT Security / Infrastructure & Networking / ITSM
  • Centre of Excellence experience (advantageous)
  • Logistics & Supply Chain experience (advantageous)

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Automation technologies (UiPath or Microsoft Power Automate Desktop Flows preferred)
  • Cloud computing services (Microsoft Azure preferred)
  • Proven track record of project/solution delivery
  • Project/Product Management
  • Programming languages (Python, SQL, C# preferred)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BCom in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 or more years of experience required (kindly note that the year of experience is only a rough guideline, and the appropriate level will be ascertained during the interview process)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Drive building a catalogue of automated business process capabilities
  • Identifying, creating, and implementing automated business process solutions
  • Creating, testing, and monitoring automation workflows and solutions
  • Post-implementation, maintaining, and updating automation
  • Documentation of the Business Processes
  • Using Quality Assurance (QA) techniques to ensure quality automation and avoid any potential issues
  • Measurement and reporting of efficiencies gained through the use of automation solutions
  • Upskilling on new technologies and staying up to date with modern technologies
  • Identifying, validating and selecting potential automation technologies for implementation
  • Implementation and management of a Global Delivery Network to scale BPA solutions
  • Driving automation adoption and best practices
  • Continuously improve processes and solution usage
  • Driving project ROI
  • Leadership of BPA team
  • Performing other duties as assigned
