Buyer x 4 - Cape Town Region
Purpose The Buyer provides crucial support to the design team in all aspects of the purchasing and product development process. This role involves assisting with vendor coordination, sourcing, product research, price negotiations, project management and administrative tasks. The Buyer ensures the smooth operation of the product development cycle and contributes to the overall success of the organization. Essential duties and responsibilities Assist the design team in product research and analysis to identify market trends, consumer demands, and competitive pricing. Coordinate with vendors, source and finalize product information, negotiate pricing, and manage order placement and delivery. Assist with placement and replenishment orders. Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, sales and packaging to ensure effective product launches, promotions and sales campaigns. Assist the product developer in communications with the factory/ suppliers. Manage the sampling and seal process. Project plan, time management, tracking the process from start to finish and assisting to keep the suppliers on time with effective management of the production process. Assist in creating purchase orders, tracking invoices, and managing payment processes. Support the product development process by managing supplier communication, maintaining files, and preparing reports. Solid understanding of Category Management & Assortment Planning
