JOB DESCRIPTION JD is a sports fashion, multichannel retailer of branded sports and casual wear, combining globally recognised brands such as Nike, adidas, Puma and The North Face, with strong private labels such as Pink Soda and Supply & Demand, to provide an elevated consumer experience. JD Sports will be the exclusive retail partner to TFG and will further bolster our existing Sports positioning, with our Sportscene, Totalsports and Sneaker Factory stores already being the destinations of choice for athletic and leisure sports apparel. Key Responsibilities: Administratively supporting all aspects of the buying process. Ensuring timeous placement of orders onto the purchasing system. Maintaining a control system for the sample room. Compiling, balancing, and updating spreadsheets and reports. All preparations prior to presentations Completing all administrative documentation that is related to loading products into the TFG system. Building constructive and mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers. Communicating with suppliers to gather all information required to load product. Processing of all amendments and communicating changes to relevant parties. Supporting the customer service team in resolving product and order queries and complaints and product sourcing and pricing queries. Managing orders through the critical path process. Prepping of product and documents for quarterly SWOT's . Pulling samples / images for weekly sales reports or product meetings as requested by the buyer. Assisting Buyers with order placements. Qualifications and Experience: Matric, Higher Certificate or Diploma Minimum 1 to 2 years Administrative experience Integral understanding of the clothing retail Cycle and Buying Process A good working knowledge of the current computer software packages (knowledge of Excel, Word & E-mail would be preferable). Skills: Uses a structured approach to effectively manage tasks Analyses complex situations and formulates effective strategic plans Builds meaningful connections and establishes relationships Leverage's market and business insights in the delivery of their work Behaviours: Articulates ideas clearly to different audiences Generates novel ideas and drives inventive solutions Consistently delivers exceptional customer service Ensures quality and compliance in the delivery of their work Shows a commitment to ethical conduct, integrity and a strong sense of responsibility Works effectively in teams, taking a collaborative and inclusive approach Is open to learning and uses those learnings in new situations Actively seeks opportunities to continually improve processes Is adaptable, resilient, and proactive in responding to different circumstances Preference will be given, but not limited to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
