Our client is seeking a Buying Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing and procurement of apparel and accessories for their stores. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that the products selected align with the company's brand and target market. The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiation skills, and a keen eye for trends.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective buying strategies to ensure a diverse and appealing product range.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive pricing.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure the best deals.
Manage the product selection process, ensuring the assortment aligns with the brand's vision and target market.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the merchandising team to ensure optimal stock levels.
Analyse sales data and consumer feedback to adjust buying strategies and improve product offerings.
Oversee the budgeting process for the buying departments, ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions.
Collaborate with the design, marketing anf merchandising teams to develop cohesive product launches and promotions.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.
Maintain strong relationships with senior executives to provide financial insights that influence strategy.

Qualifications:

Experience in the footwear industry is advantageous.
Strong understanding of fashion trends and consumer behaviour.
