SUPPLY CHAIN


Job Purpose
The role of the Capability Specialist: Manufacturing and Supply Chain is to drive the development and
implementation of strategic capability initiatives aligned with BevCo's overarching strategy and culture
aspirations. Through a focus on capability strategy and culture enhancement, this role supports leadership
with the design and implementation of Manufacturing and Supply Chain capability strategies. By conducting
comprehensive capability diagnosis and research, facilitating learning and development initiatives, managing
projects, and implementing effective change management practices, the Capability Specialist ensures that
employees within Manufacturing and Supply Chain are equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and
mindset to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing and supply chain environment. The role is also specifically
responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring PepsiCo bottler capability frameworks within
Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
Key Accountabilities and Outputs
Capability Strategy and Culture
 Support leadership with the design of Manufacturing and Supply Chain capability strategies that
support the achievement of the BevCo's strategy and culture (people with purpose framework)
aspirations.
Capability Diagnosis and Research
 Diagnose organisational systems, structures, practices, processes, policies, standards and controls to
identify organisational capability improvement opportunities within Manufacturing and Supply Chain
in support of the organisation's strategic, tactical and operational plans.
Learning and Development
 Conduct Manufacturing and Supply Chain Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify skill gaps and
training requirements across different levels and departments within the organization.
 Support the design of learning and development solutions and assessment instruments tailored to
address identified training needs and objectives within Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
 Assist in the development of Manufacturing and Supply Chain learning and development programs
and assessment instruments using industry best practices and innovative methodologies.
 Deliver engaging and effective learning and development sessions, workshops, and assessments to
employees, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and formats.
 Contribute to the recognition of learning and development achievements through the
implementation of recognition programs and initiatives within Manufacturing and Supply Chain
aligned to the people with purpose framework.
 Assist in managing skills development programs, including tracking employee progress, providing
support and guidance, and evaluating program effectiveness.
 Complile the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR), for Manufacturing and
Supply Chain, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

 Manage Manufacturing and Supply Chain learnership programs, including coordination,
administration, and reporting.
 Organize Lunch and Learn sessions to facilitate informal learning and knowledge sharing among
employees.
 Lead the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Training Budget process, collaborating with relevant
departments to ensure alignment with organisational priorities.
 Manage the Manufacturing and Supply Chain training budget, including planning, allocation, and
monitoring of expenses.
 Accurately and timeously report to FoodBev Seta and ensure compliance with industry standards.
 Coordinate Manufacturing and Supply Chain Capability Forums to ensure alignment with
stakeholders.
 Manage relationships with external service providers and vendors to support training and
development initiatives effectively.
Capbility Program Project Management
 Meet capability project objectives, including (but not limited to) research, qualitative and
quantitative analysis, consultation, survey design, survey administration and analysis and report
writing for Manufacturing and Supply Chain Capbility Program's.
 Provide capability project status updates and executive summaries.
Change Management
 Where appropriate, conduct change impact (people, processes, technology) and change
complexity/maturity assessments to guide and support BevCo's change management approach and
implementation within Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
 Apply sound change management methodology to effectively manage change at the organisational,
team and individual level.
 Coach capability project owners on effective change management practices and frameworks
including communications, sponsor roadmaps, training, resistance management, risks and costing.
Continuous Improvement
 Analyse and trend capability data to identify key issues and opportunities for continuous
improvement.
General Organisation, Financial and People Management
 Actively participate in planning and budgeting processes
 Drive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices,
processes and systems
 Ensure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards,
governance and controls
