Cartage Controller Provide professional and prompt service to clients as well as to all internal divisions. Maintain highly professional service at all time and to ensure that the set targets are met in all related aspects. Exceptional administration skills with advanced excel is required for this role. Planning and Coordination Deliveries Daily planning and coordination of deliveries. Daily tracking all deliveries and keeping clients advised of the status of their deliveries. Monitoring client schedule and delivering containers as indicated within the time frame allocated. Capturing and allocating all deliveries Ensuring that all deliveries are affected within the time frame and also ensuring that all we have sufficient drivers at all times to cover the required deliveries. Arranging the pre-loads for early morning delivery. Attending to breakdowns of trailers at client's premises. Administration Highly admin intensive which is important part of the success of this role. Ensure all instructions received by mail are adhered to and actioned in time Health and Safety and Regulations Ensuring that the drivers adhere to the necessary P.P.E requirements. Randomly checking that the owner operated trucks are compliant with the national roadworthy act as well as ensuring that they are safety compliant. People Supervision Supervising the staff and reporting problems and to senior management Minimum Criteria Grade 12 Preferably 3 years' experience in a similar position Ability to work after hours and weekends when required Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Excellent computer literacy, MS Office (Excel and Word) Drivers licence and own transport N/A N/A
