RPO Recruitment's client is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashbook Clerk to join their team in Cape Town. As a Cashbook Clerk, you will be responsible for managing all cash transactions for our company. You will ensure accurate recording of cash receipts and payments, reconcile bank statements, and support financial reporting processes. Responsibilities Accurately record all cash receipts and payments in the cashbook Prepare and reconcile bank statements Process and allocate funds for various expenses and invoices Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements Monitor and reconcile discrepancies in cash transactions Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes Follow company procedures and maintain confidentiality of financial information Adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and best practices Requirements Proven experience as a Cashbook Clerk or similar role Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Associate's degree or higher in Accounting or related field Benefits Salary negotiable RPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
