Job Title: Category Buyer Location: Cape Town Industry: Retail Responsibilities: Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales and profitability Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth Source and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms Select and manage product assortments based on customer demand and market trends Monitor inventory levels and sales performance to optimize stock levels Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to create promotions and campaigns Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in retail buying or category management Strong analytical and negotiation skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously RPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
