Job Overview:

Our Client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cellphone Repair Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of cellphone issues. The Cellphone Repair Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software problems, replacing faulty components, and ensuring that devices are returned to customers in excellent working condition.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on various cellphone models.
Conduct thorough inspections to identify problems and provide accurate cost estimates to customers.
Replace defective components such as screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, and other internal parts.
Perform software updates, installations, and troubleshooting to address software-related problems.
Keep up-to-date with the latest cellphone technologies, trends, and models to provide efficient and effective repair services.
Maintain an organized and clean workspace, ensuring proper handling and disposal of electronic components.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures, timelines, and potential issues to clients.
Document all repair activities, including parts used, time spent, and testing results for accurate record-keeping.
Stay informed about industry best practices and implement them to improve repair processes and efficiency.
Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and experiences, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

Matric Qualification; additional technical certifications or education is a plus.
3 – 5 years Proven experience as a Cellphone Repair Technician or similar role.
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing various cellphone models from different manufacturers.
Strong understanding of cellphone hardware components and software systems.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality repair services.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
Familiarity with the use of specialised tools and equipment for cellphone repairs.
Reside in Pomona Kempton Park or neighbouring areas
